Peggy Hunt, daughter of the late Alma Lewis and Clyde Burdine, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025 at the age of 79.
On July 14, 1962, she married the love of her life, Noel Hunt. Together, they built of life of unwavering love and deep companionship. Their marriage was a beautiful example of commitment and devotion, weathering life's challenges hand in hand and celebrating life's joys together. Their love was a guiding light to their children, grandchildren, and all who knew them.
Peggy was known for her kind and selfless spirit, always loving with her whole heart. She had a talent for decorating cakes and painting, bringing joy to many with her beautiful creations over the years. Peggy touched countless lives with her warmth and gentleness. She loved traveling, shopping, especially for shoes, and watching Hallmark movies. But, above all, Peggy loved her family deeply and treasured every moment she spent with them.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Noel, her sister, Mary Burdine Pearcy, one brother, Larie Burdine, and one grandchild, Joshua Glen Hunt.
Peggy is survived by her three children, Jeff Hunt (Gayle), John Hunt, and Nolynn Yonts (Darren), all of Scottsville, KY., her six grandchildren, Mikel Hunt, James Cotton, Keri Hunt, Chelsea Wagoner, Jannie Hunt, and Tyler Yonts, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by one brother, Tony Burdine, of Bloomfield, MO., and several nieces and nephews.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral services for Peggy Hunt are scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 11:00am with burial to follow in Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, March 18, at 5:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Wednesday at 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am.
The family has entrusted J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel with arrangements.
