Jerry G. Thomas

Jerry Glendon Thomas, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025. He was born on January 20, 1943, and lived a full 82 years. He is preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 61 years, Bonnie Faye Thomas; his parents, Harold Walker and Maggie Eola Thomas; and his brother, Curtis Thomas.

Jerry was an adoring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by children Lisa (David) Perkins of Buffalo, KY, Keith (Angela) Thomas of White Rock, NM, and Jennifer (Coy) Allen of Bowling Green, granddaughters Stacie (Michael) Hutchison of Bowling Green, Katey (Tobias) Thomas-Burger of Albuquerque, NM, Jodi (Noah) Thomas-Burns of Bowling Green, grandson, Nicholas Allen of Bowling Green, and two great-granddaughters, Amelia and Lucy Hutchison of Bowling Green.

Jerry loved the Lord and his church, serving as a deacon and Sunday School teacher for nearly 50 years. He was a long-time member of Three Springs Baptist Church. Jerry was a hard worker and had many treasured memories of Ford's furniture, where he retired in 2008. He enjoyed playing hard on his family farm in Fountain Run, KY, and on the golf course.

His family will fondly remember him for his spirited nature and his devotion to his faith, family, and the Atlanta Braves.

Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, and Wednesday from 9 until 11 a.m. at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, Kentucky.
