Peggy Ann Jackson, the second oldest of eight children, was born in Jefferson, Georgia, on May 5, 1946. Peggy received her heavenly wings on April 17, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Willie T. Jackson and Bobbie C. Jackson; three sister, Willie Ree Jackson, Corine Lott, and Francis Gaudlock; a couple of dear friends and co-worker, Patricia Woodland, the two of which treated each other as sisters; and close friend, Mildred Hill.

Peggy was born in Jefferson, Georgia, and moved to Gainesville, Georgia and then to Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated from Maryland High School. She attended Prince George's Community College, receiving an Associate Degree as a Paralegal Assistant.

Peggy gave her life to the Lord at an early age. She became a faithful member of Isle of Patmos Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., and enjoyed singing as a devoted member of the Voices of Victory Choir.

In 2016 Peggy moved to Riverdale, Georgia, next door to her loving daughter Debbie. During that time, she changed her membership to Christians for Change Baptist Church. Her pastor, Rev. Michael W. Baldwin, continued to feed her the word. Peggy so much enjoyed studying the word of God.

Peggy also enjoyed gardening, growing beautiful flowers, watering her plants throughout her home, and occasionally going to the casinos. Her favorite food was pork, which primarily included scrapple, fat back, hog jowls, pig feet, and streak-a-lean.

Peggy worked for the Federal Government of the United States of America, providing 42 years of service at the Pentagon, the headquarters building for the United States Department of Defense. She retired as a Budgeting Analyst.

Peggy's House Rules: I'm Right, You're Wrong, That's It!!! and Whatever I say . . . GOES!

She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted daughter, Debbie L.Jackson; her grandson, DeBonn R.Boozer; two brothers, Pastor D. T. Jackson (wife, Minister Tiffany Jackson) and Jerry L. Jackson; sisters, Evangelist Linda A. Akonchong and First Lady Brenda A. Cater (husband, Rev. Darrell Carter); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
