The family will receive friends from 11 am until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Morton Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Kilgo passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Elsie Goble; husband, Samuel Ray Kilgo; brothers, Howard Goble, and Ernest Goble.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Linda Morris (Scott), Debbie Kilgo, and Sherrie Grizzard (Max); grandchildren, Katie Morris, Chelsea Willingham (Thomas), Anthony Morris, Emily Knight (Kipp), Nathan Heflin, Evelyn Subias (Cyley), Susanna Blessing (Brian), Jonathan Grizzard (Hailey), Wesley Grizzard (Sarah), Maggie Edwards (Kyle), Phillip Grizzard (Ember) and Jenna Reed (Titus); great-grandchildren, Audrey, Ivey, Ella, Naveah, Hayden, Elsie, Everly, Calum, Braylon, Baylor, Norah, Navy, Jon Luke, and Charlie; brother, Harley Goble, Jr. (Mary); and many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Lank Hill.
She was a graduate of Walnut Grove High School. Peggy and Ray were married for 58 years and lived in Glencoe for almost 50 of them. She loved her family deeply. Peggy was a member of New Hope Church, where she used her artistic talents to paint the baptistry and became involved with the women's ministry. Never afraid of hard work, she was a seamstress at multiple sewing factories, managed a retail store, and sold at craft shows. She was a determined, lively, fun-loving, sparkly lady. With that same spirit, she overcame COVID 19 before there was a vaccine. She enjoyed camping, beach trips, dancing, thrifting, plein air shows, crafting and playing cards.
Pallbearers will be Peggy's grandsons.
The family would like to thank Gadsden Regional Emergency room staff; Dr. Oguntuyo and staff; as well as the HOAA doctors and staff.
