Sybil was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love for her family was immeasurable and she cherished every moment spent with them.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025 at The Rainbow City Library from 1pm - 3pm.
She is preceded in death by her parents, D.W. and Genell Bynum; her husband, of 65 years, Bill Waddell; and daughter, Susan Dianne.
She is survived by her daughter, Kayla (Barry) Moore; grandchildren, Misty (Chris) McCarver, Melissa (Bobby) Mitchell, Megan (Tyler) Roe, and Gary Harden; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Makenzie, Brylie, Lily, Denver, walker, and Zac; great-great-grandchildren, Paisley, Harper, and Axel; special friends, Peggy David and Clara Snead; also, a host of nieces, nephews, and her granddog, Piper.
Living on the lake brought her so much joy. She enjoyed sewing and baking. She was an avid Braves fan and leaves behind a love for them that will live on in all of us. She was so excited to have a great-great grandson born after 3 generations of girls.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and memories. Her warm smile, kind heart and creative spirit will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
