Peggy Jean Malleck was born in Atlanta Nebraska on September 11, 1933, at her Aunt Louie's house. She died peacefully at home in Brighton CO on September 5, 2025. She was born to Irene and Ben Zimmerman. She was the second oldest of five siblings; Robert, Richard, Judy, and Pete.

She met the love of her life in high school Geometry class, Indianola NE. She was working at the local drug store where Al Malleck was always looking for reasons to visit. Al took her to the movies to see Gone with the Wind at age 15, and their story began. She got her 15 mins of fame when she was in a High School theater play, and received accolades in the news paper for An Outstanding Performance! Peggy graduated from Culbertson High School in 1951.

On June 18, 1952 Al and Peggy wed in Atlanta NE. at 8 pm, and the ceremony had to be paused when the train came through town. Aunt Louie made her wedding dress and Peggy made her veil. They moved to Shreveport LA. while Al was in the Air Force. She worked for the phone company as a long distance operator.

Their first son Mike was born Sept. 1953. They moved back to Indianola when Mike was under a month old. Several years later they moved to Washington State. Peggy and little Mike ran the General Store while Al was in Aircraft Mechanic school. After he graduated they sold the store and moved to Aurora CO. In Oct.1960 their second son Tony was born. She started working for Safeway after Tony started school. Her career spanned twenty years. After Peggy and Al both retired they moved to Brighton CO. Peggy loved traveling, cruises, Downtown Las Vegas, Vegas shows, music and dancing with her Husband. She found great joy getting her family together for camping trips, holidays, sweet corn-on-the-cob and BBQ's for the Fourth of July. All her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren have some of their fondest memories during these times.

She is preceded in death by her Mother Irene, Father Ben, Brothers Bob, Richard and her loving husband Al. Survivors include Sister Judy Alma NE. Brother Pete (Cherie) Arroyo Grande CA. Sons and Daughter's in law Mike (Rita) of Brighton CO. Tony (Gail) of Centennial CO. Grandchildren Rene' of Independence MO. Michael of Brighton CO. Kristi (Scott) of Aurora CO. Lindsey (Alex) of Menomonie WI. Bobby of Aurora CO. and Shelly of Aurora CO. Great Grandchildren include Joseph, Asia, Nina, Maya and Mallecki, Bailey, Maddox, Danielle, Mieke, Adalee, and Great Great grandbaby to be either Kai'Lalo or Lila'Deville.
