Port Barre -- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Peggy Ann McJunkins on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Clint will celebrate the Mass. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Hall from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.

Peggy, a cherished and devoted family member, passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on January 17, 1952, in Opelousas, Louisiana, Peggy was a loving individual who held her family dear to her heart throughout her life.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, George, Sr. and Mabel McJunkins, and her brother, Kenneth McJunkins, sisters, Barbara Rose, and Linda Arnaud. She also mourned the loss of her beloved nephew, Brady Arnaud.

She is survived by her brother, George McJunkins, and his wife Rae, as well as a loving brood of seven nieces and nephews. Peggy's legacy continues through her eleven great nieces and nephews and twelve great-great nieces and nephews, each of whom carries a piece of her spirit.

Her warm and loving nature made a lasting impact on those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Peggy Ann McJunkins leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory and the love she so freely shared.
