Urbanski Funeral Home - Secor LocationPeggy M. Metroff, 81, of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away surrounded by love and in peace Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Northwest Ohio Ebied Hospice with her family by her side.
Peggy was born in Toledo, Ohio, on February 22, 1944, to Donald and Irene (Curtis) Miller. She spent many years working at Hunt-Wesson Foods, but what mattered most to her was time with the people she loved.
Peggy was unfiltered, feisty, and full of fire. Her home was the kind of place where people gathered, laughed, argued, cried, and always had something to eat. She told it like it was, never sugarcoated a thing, and somehow always knew what you needed even if it came with a side of sass. Whether you came for advice, a laugh, a strong opinion, or just a place to land, her door was open.
She loved her family, cooking, camping, rafting, traveling, bonfires, cop shows, and her CBS soaps. A day for Peggy really did start and end with a Pepsi. She wasn’t perfect and she’d be the first to admit it but people were drawn to her warmth and spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Metroff, Granddaughter Holly Beins, Great Grandsons Wyatt Hetherington and Gavin Foley.
Peggy is survived by her children, Donald Beins, Diane Copley, Amy Beins, Lisa (Jim) McCaig, and Jason Beins; her cherished 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and many dear friends who will remember her warmth, humor, and generous spirit.
A celebration of life is planned for Sunday, October 12 at The Yard 8040 Summerfield Rd, Lambertville, MI from 2pm-6pm.
Peggy’s family invites all who knew her to honor her memory by enjoying a Pepsi and sharing a story of their favorite time with her. Donations may be made to the Humane Society of Monroe County
