Peggy Shelton Shaver

Peggy Shelton Shaver, age 90, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025. Born on October 26, 1935, she lived a life full of love, dedication, and adventure.
As a devoted Navy wife for 26 years, Peggy embraced the unique challenges and joys of living in several states and countries, creating homes filled with warmth and cherished memories wherever she went. During her time in France, she served as the President of the Enlisted Wives Club, leading with grace and commitment.
Peggy was a remarkable homemaker and an exceptional cook, known for her culinary skills and her beautifully decorated cakes that delighted family and friends. An avid collector, she took pleasure in gathering treasures that held special meaning to her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, James William and Winifred Shelton; her husband, Donald William Shaver; and her brother, Danny Lamar Shelton.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Donna Bush (Chris), and her devoted son, James "Jim" Shaver (Vickie). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Kevin and Jenny Kunkler, Rebecca Bush, Donald Shaver, Erin and Adam Cummings, Brittany and Travis Benton, and her ten great-grandchildren. Peggy also leaves behind her dear sister, Becky Combee (Jim), and brothers James "Bud" Shelton, Benny Shelton (Karen), and Phillip Shelton (Jean), along with several nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her kindness and generosity.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, which will take place on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 11 o'clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home.
Peggy's memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to share in her life's journe
