Peggy Lester Taylor, 86, of Daddysville, North Carolina peacefully went to her heavenly home June 30, 2025. She was born on January 18, 1939 to Seth and Alieen Lester in Franklin County, Noth Carolina. Peggy married the love of her life (James Taylor) on April 27, 1957. Peggy supported James through everything in their lives together. One of those being the family farm (Taylor Farms). They shared 2 daughters (Debbie and Diane) and 1 son (Chris). Being a mother and a homemaker was her greatest joy in life. When you entered her home there was always a meal, love, and laughter waiting for anyone. Her door was always open and she was there to greet you with a smile.

Peggy later had 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren to whom she has left a lasting impact on each one of them. Peggy showered her family with love, wisdom, laughter and correction when needed. She loved to be in her yard making it beautiful. Her grass was always flawlessly cut, her flowers where beautiful and abundant, and her birds were always fed and singing with joy. Peggy was one of a kind and those that knew her knew she had a heart of gold. Peggy was selfless, patient, kind, loving and wise. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Taylor.

She is survived by her daughter Diane Jones, daughter Debbie Perry (Mark), son Chris Taylor (Dottie); her grandchildren Brandon Jones (Brandi), Amanda Rice (Brandon), Justin Currin, Jordan Currin (Katelyn), Samantha Perry, Brooke Holland (Jeremy), Logan Bostic (Hunter). She is also survived by her 11 beautiful great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the caregivers who cared for Peggy over the last several years. A special thank you to Lynette and Earlene who stayed by Peggy's side until the very end.

There will be no services held to honor Peggy's last wishes.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make a donation to St Jude Children's Research Hospital in Peggy's Honor.
