Peniueti "Ben" Ta'Ufo'Ou Jr

Peniueti Jr. Ta'ufo'ou, lovingly known as Ben, passed away on July 20, 2025, in Murray, Utah, at the age of 36. He was born on July 25, 1988, in Orange County, California, to Peniueti Sr. Ta'ufo'ou and Sela Tokotaha.
Ben was raised in Southern California and spent his early years in Santa Ana before moving through Garden Grove, the San Fernando Valley, Charlotte, NC, and eventually Concord, CA. He graduated from Ygnacio Valley High School and later attended Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill.
A man of deep faith, Ben served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Washington D.C., where he found joy in serving and connecting with people from all walks of life. He faced profound loss early in life, when his first wife, Mele Vaioli, passed away shortly after the birth of their daughter, Nanuma.
Ben later settled in Utah, where he married, Jessica Theresa Saena, on May 19, 2023, in Salt Lake City. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and purpose.
Ben was a man of many passions: rugby, concrete work, artistic design, and muscle cars. He owned his own concrete construction business and launched a t-shirt brand that reflected his creative spirit. He was also the proud president of his Mopar Car Club, leading community rides and family-friendly events that brought joy to many.
Known for his magnetic personality, Ben had a gift for making everyone feel like family. He was a loyal friend, a loving father, and a devoted husband and son. His heart for people-especially fellow Polynesians-shone through in everything he did. Ben lived boldly and loved deeply.
