Penny Ellen Bolick Holloman, 61, of St. Pauls, NC, entered into eternal rest on July 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 12, 1963, in Cleveland County, North Carolina, Penny lived a life full of love, laughter, and strength.

Penny is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel Holloman; her beloved children, Dusty Eugene Grooms and Tabitha Lynn Grooms Da Silva; and her treasured grandchildren, Zechariah, Joliana, and Uriah Da Silva. She is also survived by her loving brother, Jody Bolick, and her cherished dogs Spanky, Fancy, and Clyde — her faithful companions.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Joe Bolick and Peggy Ann Watts, and her sister, Barbara Hamrick.

Throughout her life, Penny worked in textile mills, retail, and food service. She truly enjoyed being around people and never met a stranger. Her warmth and outgoing personality touched everyone she met.

Creative and spirited, Penny loved to crochet and enjoyed all kinds of artistic projects. She especially loved being surrounded by her family — her children and grandchildren were the pride of her life.

Penny will be remembered for her giving heart, her deep love for others, and her fierce courage — especially during her fight with cancer. Even through her suffering, her Christian faith never wavered. She held fast to her belief in the promise of Heaven.

Though she lost the battle with cancer, Penny ultimately won the victory through Christ. As Scripture reminds us:

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” – Revelation 21:4

A memorial service will be held on Saturday in the Chapel of McNeill Legacy Funeral Home in St. Pauls, NC. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 3:00 p.m.

Penny’s love, strength, and faith will live on in all who knew and loved her.
