Ernie Brooks Holloman, 63, of 136 White Oak Road, Eure, NC, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025 in his residence.

Mr. Holloman was born in Hertford County on January 17, 1962 and was the son of the late Joseph Hilton and Beulah Phelps Holloman.

Retired as an extract operator from Perdue Farms, he enjoyed memberships in Eure Baptist Church, White Oak Hunt Club and the Hall Ruritan Club.

Surviving is his wife of nearly 41 years, Debra Byrum Holloman; a son, Brian Holloman of Eure; three sisters, Reba Bailey and husband, Glen, of Fountain, Becky Edwards and husband, John, of Gates, and Rose Jarman and husband, David, of Smithfield; a brother, Jimmie Ray Holloman and wife, Dianne, of Eure; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in Eure Baptist Church, and will be conducted by Pastors Joe Bourn and Wade Bennett. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, and other times at the residence.

Memorial contributions may be made to Eure Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 70, Eure, NC 27935.
