Penny Gale Lager passed away at home on March 13, 2025. Born in Flint, Michigan and raised in Decatur, Illinois. Penny received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Washington University in St. Louis in 1978. There she also met her husband Edward and returned with him to Colorado.
Penny was a prolific artist who worked in all mediums; oil paint, acrylics, pastels and colored pencils. Many of her art works are with people across the country. Her passion later in life was teaching art to seniors.
She is survived by her husband, sons Patrick and Kenneth (Rebecca), four granddaughters and two brothers.
