Penny Young

Penny Young, 61, of Bainbridge, formerly of Palatka, FL, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023.

Penny Joann Grafius was born April 26, 1961, in Williamsport, PA, the daughter of William & Mildred Sponenberg Grafius. She married Charles Kroblen in 2009 and traveled all over with his job. Home was always the beach. Penny retired as a respiratory therapist with Bardmoor Emergency Center in Seminole County, FL. She was a Christian by faith.
Penny always "had her wings out" like a mother hen tending her chicks. Her nature was to care for others. Patients at Colquitt Regional and Bardmoor would testify to the exceptional care and compassion they each experienced. Penny enjoyed traveling, fishing-for any kind of fish in any kind of place, and cooking. Chicken & dumplings and lasagna were her specialty dishes. Penny's children and grandchildren knew without a doubt they held the keys to her heart.
Survivors include her husband of 13 years, Tony Kroblen; her children, Whitney Thomas (Casey) and Russell Wright (Alaina); her grandchildren, Jaxon, Cali, and Tucker; her siblings, Kathi Schade, Barbara Allen, and Billy Grafius; and her faithful canine companion, Pepper. Penny was preceded in death by her parents.
The Young Family will be forever grateful for the kind and compassionate care provided by Gentiva Hospice, especially Joanna.
