Perry June Garner, age 78, of Sophia passed away on June 29, 2025 at High Point Medical Center.
Mr. Garner was born in Moore County on June 3, 1947 to Lennie and Jennie York Garner. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber with over 25 years of service. Perry loved his church, Central Falls Baptist Church and loved sharing the Gospel during his dialysis and to others. He loved old cars, bowling, and watching westerns of TV. He loved collecting arrowheads and had an extensive collection. Most of all, Perry loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda Garner; sons, Sean Garner (Alicia) of Sophia, William Garner (Ashley) of Harmony, and Patrick Garner of Westfield; grandchildren, Samuel, Lorelei, Joshua, and Olivia; brother, Shane Garner (Karen) of Westmoore; and sister, Pamela Lucas (Larry) of Seagrove.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 2:00-3:00 pm at Central Falls Baptist Church, 1332 Old Liberty Road in Asheboro. A memorial service will follow on Saturday at 3:00 pm at the church with Rev. Gerald Hussey officiating.
