Perry Lee Morris, 75, passed away on May 02, 2025 at his home.
Perry was born on June 18, 1949 in Gothenburg, NE to parents Garald and Ruth Roe Morris. Perry attended school in Gothenburg, graduating from Gothenburg High School. Following high school, he served four years in the United States Army including highly decorated service during the Vietnam War. In 1968, Perry married Kathy Rowan to which children Garald and Wendy were born. In 1983, Perry married Florence Rose Martin and they have shared the last 42 years together.
Perry was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Dawson County for 36 years retiring in 2011.
Perry enjoyed time hunting and fishing. You could often find him with his grandkids and great-grandkids. Perry was a huge Husker athletics fan and watched them any chance he could along with the NFL.
Perry is preceded in death by his grandparents(Ed and Irene Roe, Lee Morris and Eva Adams Ostendorf), parents(Garald and Ruth), infant sister Ruth Ann Morris and sister-in-law Lou Martin Engelhaupt.
Perry is survived by Spouse Florence "Rose" Morris; Children Garald Morris, Wendy (Travis) Wilkins, Jon (Patti) Leviner, Laurie Knudsen, grandchildren Devan (Larissa) Wilkins, Brandon (Morgan) Wilkins, Kadin Wilkins, Gage (Heidi) LeViner, Kyann LeViner, Christopher (Jamie) Voght, Cassandra Baker, Samantha (Kyle) Johnson, Carrie (David) Hoeser, Edmund Guy Knudsen, Kayliegh (Max) Nault, and Jessie Knudsen and many great-grandchildren.
Private burial was held at Fort McPherson National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army.
