Perry Lee Warlick, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on July 2, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on January 25, 1947, in Joplin, Missouri, Perry lived a life that was rich in love and adventure, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
Perry's journey began in the halls of Del City High School, where he graduated with pride, ready to take on the world. His commitment to service led him to enlist in the Marine Corps from 1966 to 1969, a time when he proudly stood for his country during the tumultuous era of the Vietnam War. Throughout his military service, Perry demonstrated remarkable bravery, earning two Purple Hearts and multiple medals that symbolized his courage and sacrifice. He was fiercely proud of his time as a Marine, embracing those experiences that shaped him into the man he became.
Following his military service, Perry devoted himself to his craft as a carpenter, contributing his skills at Tinker Airforce Base. His craftsmanship was not just a job to him; it was a testament to his dedication and a reflection of the care he put into everything he did. Perry's artful hands built not just structures, but dreams for those who would inhabit them.
Perry's heart belonged not only to his profession but also to his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Warlick, who stood by him throughout their beautiful journey together. He cherished his daughters, Shelli Cook and Ashley Warlick, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. Perry’s legacy lives on through his grandchildren, Jonas, Jacob, and Jayce, who adored their grandfather and will carry forward his spirit of love and adventure.
In addition to his immediate family, Perry leaves behind his sister, Patricia, and her husband, Joe Satterwhite, along with his brothers Larry Warlick, Donnie and his wife Teresa Warlick, and Ronnie and Shelly Warlick. He shared a special bond with many nieces and nephews who looked up to him as a figure of strength and wisdom.
Perry was a man of many interests, finding joy in life's simplest pleasures. He loved golfing, spending time outdoors, and pursuing his passion for hunting and fishing. He was an avid supporter of the Oklahoma Sooners, often found cheering them on with a smile that reflected his deep enthusiasm for life.
He was predeceased by his cherished daughter, Kari Anne, and his parents, Perry and Margaret Warlick. He is also reunited with his brothers, Gary Dale Pool and Edsel Leon Pool, whom he loved dearly.
A graveside service to honor Perry's life will be held at Square Cedar Cemetery in Cleo Springs, Oklahoma, on July 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM, Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. www.lanmanfuneralhome.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
