Always known as Pete, his given name was Daryl Wayne Parson.

He was born in Mulberry, Kansas, at the home of his grandparents, on Lehman's Hill. His parents were Harold N. Parson and Ruth R. (Lehman) Parson. The family moved to Bakersfield from the LA area in 1957.

Pete graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1963. He was very involved in the FFA program there. He attended Bakersfield College and graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, in 1969. He also graduated from University of Oregon, Eugene, with his Masters in Business. Pete served in the U.S. Army, 1969-72, and was discharged as a Captain.

Pete's careers included real estate broker in Eugene, OR, real estate sales and mortgage broker in Bakersfield. He returned to the agriculture field as purchasing agent for SteveCo/Lucich Farms in Delano.

Through all his life, Pete made many friends, many with whom he maintained contact over the years. He enjoyed visiting the Alley Cat, Bakersfield, and especially attending the Slav Hall luncheons in Delano.

Pete is survived by his sister, Debby Rodrigues, (John), and his brother, Jay Parson, one aunt and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Final resting place is Rosebank Cemetery, Mulberry, Kansas among several generations of family members.
