Mr. Pete Winfield, 75, passed away on December 26, 2024, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. Mr. Pete was born on October 25, 1949, in Clay County, to the late George and Lena Mae Langford Winfield. He was a self-employed log truck driver. He enjoyed fishing and vegetable gardening. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting. He was married to Clara Dean Jones Winfield and she predeceased him in 2006. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Megan Love, a sister, Lorene Sims, and four brothers, Bedell, David, W. C., and George Robert Winfield.
Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2024, from 9:45-10:00 A.M. at Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Cedar Bluff. Graveside services will follow at 10:00 A.M. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include his three daughters, Darlene Jones (Heath), Angela Allen (Jerry), and Tiffany Love, all of Maben: ten grandchildren: fifteen great- grandchildren: one sister, Susie Winfield Lucas of Eupora, and one sister-in-law, Peggy Winfield of Pheba.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Allen, Mike Scarborough, Jimmy McKee, Tyler Crimm, Matthew Narmour, and Adam Winfield.
Memorials may be made to Le Bonheur Children's Outpatient Center, 942 Commonwealth Boulevard, Tupelo, Mississippi 38804.
