Peter J. Andolino, age 89, beloved husband of the late Wilma R. (Robertson) Andolino, died Wednesday at his home with his family by his side after a period of declining health.
He was born in Somerville, February 1, 1936 a son of the late Joseph and Helen (Cavanaugh) Andolino and has been a Billerica resident since 1965.
Peter served in the National Guard. He worked for Coca Cola of Boston before becoming a Business Agent for the New England Joint Board RWDSU a member of the AFL-CIO.
In his spare time he was an avid golfer and sports fan. He loved his weekly family dinners at the New Towne Grill, playing keno, his morning coffee and donut while scratching a ticket and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Lisa Blaney and her husband Rick of Billerica; three granddaughters, Nicole Zechner and her husband Jacob of Chelmsford, Jessica Femia and her husband Patrick of Hollis, NH and Samantha Blaney and her boyfriend Sean Flagg of Billerica; two sisters, Mary Ann Driscoll of FL and Eleanor Rua of Somerville, as well as his five great grandchildren, Eloise, Charlotte, Wyatt, Margot and Rosie. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews and family friends whom he loved like his own.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, March 10, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 - 7 p.m. All other services will be held privately and at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Care Dimensions Hospice at www.caredimensions.org
