Peter "Joe" Bigelow

Peter "Joe" Joseph Bigelow, age 61, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was born September 15, 1964, in Grand Rapids, MI to the late John and Dorothy (Minkel) Bigelow. He enjoyed 34 years of marriage to his loving wife Karen.

Joe was a life long repairman and for many the first person to call when things were going wrong. He served the West Michigan area for more than 35 years as an appliance repairman, and 20 years owning his own business. Joe loved music, and quizzing those around him the artist name and song title. He could often be found riding his Harley, working on his latest home improvement project, and being in the company of friends and family.

Survivors include his loving wife, Karen; 3 sons, Korey (Aaron), Peter (Kelsey), and Ian; grandson, Emmett; granddaughter, Bailey; 2 brothers, John (Sandy) and Chip (Paola); sisters-in-law, Diann (Dennis) Lang, Linda (Jim) Wood, and Susan (Lee) Braford; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his parents-in-law, Clare and Verna Kober.

Gathering of family and friends will take place on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 5:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue NW, Comstock Park, MI, 49321.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Corewell Health Hospice, especially Joe's hospice nurse, Olivia and his social worker, Elise, for all of their care, help, and compassion they showed throughout this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Corewell Health Hospice.
