Peter Albert Celio

Peter Albert Celio, 82 of Woodbridge, Virginia died on April 27, 2023, at Arbor Terrace. He was born in 1940 in Herkimer, New York to the late Albert and Louise Celio. Peter had a passion for helping with the local little league teams, coin collecting, hunting, fishing, playing cards, and going to casinos. Peter was an avid MLB fan and loved watching both the New York Yankees and the Washington Nationals games. His favorite pastime was spending time with his loving family.
Peter attended Herkimer High School and Hartwick College. Peter was also active in the Herkimer Jaycees and the Woodbridge Civitans. He made a career working for the airlines in the revenue accounting department, starting with Mohawk Airlines in Utica, New York and finished his career with USAirways in Arlington, Virginia.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Phyllis Celio, his partner of thirty plus years Heidi Elder, and his brother, Albert Celio. Peter is survived by his daughter, Nadine Blot; his two sons, Peter Celio (Jamie) and Brian Celio (Susan); his sister, Janet Andrews (Terry) of Ilion, New York. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, TJ (Justine), Sarah, Matthew, Dominick, and Grace.
Family and friends will be received at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 13318 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge VA 22191 on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 11:00AM to 1:00PM with a life celebration service beginning at 1:00PM. The family would like to invite you to join them at the Harbour Grill in Woodbridge, beginning at 2:00pm.
