Peter (Doctor Desio) was one of my professors when I was attending the University of New Haven in the late sixties. I especially remember his classes in Organic Chemistry. He was always well prepared. He made it easy to learn the material. I last talked to him a few years ago. He was a terrific person who had a positive influence on my life and no doubt many others. I will miss him.

I am a boyhood friend of Peter. I grew up a few blocks from Peter in East Boston. We became friends when we were classmates at Boston English High School. Peter was a brilliant student in all our classes then consisting of chemistry, physics, math and Latin. We stayed in touch over the years, and I was aware of his incredible courage and the suffering he endured. Peter was also a great fan of the opera and especially those composed by Puccini. I last spoke with Peter about two weeks before he died. May you Rest In Peace, Peter. I am grateful to have known you.

There was no air of haughtiness in Br. Peter, though his students regarded him as genius. Br. Peter was unassuming and kindhearted toward everyone. Gentle soft spoken and true. Br. Peter befriended me and I always marvel at the greatness of those that God allows us to meet along the way in this life. I will continue to pray for Br. Peter, as I know he prays for us all. Br. Peter Welcome Home!

Peter was a dear lifelong friend to our family who was like a brother to us. He was a giving, caring person to my brother, sister and myself and to all our children and grandchildren. He was like a second son to our Mom for over 20 years. A good Christian man who will be fondly remembered by all our family.
