Peter John Devost, 59, of New Durham, New Hampshire died peacefully in his home after a battle with kidney disease on March 25, 2024. He was born in Haverhill, MA on June 26, 1964, to parents Robert Devost and Alma Leonardos. Peter attended Timberlane Regional High School in Plaistow, NH and went on to become a skillful mason by trade, which he took great pride in. In addition, Pete was in business with his brother David as a landscape designer of trees, shrubs and walkways installation.
Pete was loved by many and those who knew him talked of his genuine, affectionate, and kind nature who was always willing to help. He had a great sense of humor and made many people laugh. Pete loved the Lord and was looking forward to meeting his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face.
Peter was preceded in death by his father Robert Devost and stepmother Alice Devost-Nieman, and Mother Alma Leonardos and stepfather Peter Leonardos. He was survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Lori F. (Lyskowsky) Devost; his sister Terry Perron and husband Ronald of VT; brother David Devost and wife Lynda of So. Carolina; and sister Nancy Tilton and husband Paul of NH; Sisters in law April Lyskowsky of MA and Leann Lyskowsky of AZ, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 27th at 12:00 PM at the Alton Bay Christian Conference Center in the Chapel, Alton Bay, NH. Light refreshments will be served following the memorial service.
