It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peter Anthony Guttilla, age 54, of Skokie, Illinois.

Peter is survived by his beloved brother, Christopher Guttilla, his sister-in-law Melissa Guttilla, and his cherished nieces, Gracyn and Paige. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Rita and Nicholas Guttilla.

From an early age, Peter demonstrated a love for the outdoors and a passion for adventure. As a member of his local Boy Scout Troop, he developed a lifelong appreciation for camping and outdoor activities. His enthusiasm for firing rifles began with the Junior NRA program, where he earned the distinguished expert honor, the highest recognition in the program.

Peter's artistic talents found their expression in his career as an Auto Body Painter, where his creativity and skill left a lasting impression on those he worked with. He was also a proud boat owner, spending countless summer weekends exploring the harbors along Lake Michigan accompanied by his loyal golden retriever, Jack.

Peter's life was marked by his love for family, his passion for the outdoors, and his dedication to his craft. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial visitation and service will be held to honor Peter's life on Friday, February 13th at starting with visitation at 9:30AM and Mass at 10:00AM at Queen of All Saints Basilica 6280 N Sauganash Ave, Chicago, IL 60646. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project. For information www.smithcorcoran.com or 773.736.3833.
