Peter Gair Hasler, age 87, passed away on August 13, 2025.
Born to Frank and Ethel Hasler, Peter lived a life marked by quiet kindness and a deep appreciation for the world around him. He was the proud owner of Beeline Inc., where he brought dedication and integrity to his work.
Peter had a lifelong love of trains and all things railroad. His passion extended to antique car shows, where he enjoyed admiring classic vehicles and sharing stories. A dedicated collector, he sought out postcards featuring trains, railroads, trucks, and trolleys. Each card a small window into the past he treasured.
Peter was a good man. He lived with humility and always tried to be kind to others. He loved his family deeply and was always ready to help in any way he could.
Peter is survived by his son David Hasler and his wife Tammy; his daughter Linda; his grandchildren Zackary and his wife Michelle, Peter and his wife Brianna, Marissa, Michael and James. Peter is also survived by his dear friends Pat and Bob Hohorst, and his beloved grand-dog, Remmington.
Visitation will take place at Scanlan's: Where Life is Celebrated from 10 - 12 pm on August 16, 2025. A graveside service and interment will take place 12:30 pm at Fairlawn Cemetery, Fairlawn NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memory of Peter to the National Railroad Museum. My Uncle Peter was my hero and mentor.
He truly represented an authentic down to earth human being. Nothing pretentious about him. Funny and hilarious in his own right, he had a natural flair for putting people at ease.
In 1969, I was blessed to become part of Peter and Tara's home. Including his son David, and his daughter Linda.
They were my cousins, 8 years younger. I can never forget what that family did for me.
I was given the opportunity to be a part of a loving family and to graduate high school in 1971.
He will always remain close to my heart. He is with my Aunt Tara and out of pain.
He will be greatly missed.
His niece, Denise

Pete was a great friend. I knew him for about 40 years. We went to train meetings, train conventions, broke bread and enjoyed conversation. As a delegate to the United Railroad Historical Society. he often invited us to his home for picnic gatherings. He was indeed a friendly and generous man who will be missed.
