Peter John Haussler

Peter John Haussler, fondly known as John, was born on August 28, 1958, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to his parents William and Marilyn (nee Fisse) Haussler. John passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025, age 67, surrounded by the love of his family. He leaves behind a cherished legacy of love, laughter, and memories that will forever warm the hearts of those who knew him.

John was a devoted family man, and his wife and children were his greatest joys. His love extended deeply to his grandchildren, who were the stars of his life. John spent over ten years passionately coaching his children's softball teams, instilling in them values of teamwork and perseverance. He could always be found cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events, his voice unmistakable amongst the crowd.

Known for his easygoing nature and vibrant sense of humor, John had a unique ability to light up a room with his infectious laughter. He was a man with a heart of gold, generous and kind, embodying compassion in every interaction. John's understanding spirit and unwavering support for others were hallmarks of his character, as he always willing to help others and gave everyone the benefit of the doubt.

An avid sports fan, John passionately followed all his favorite Cincinnati teams, including the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, UC Bearcats, and Xavier. His loyalty to The Ohio State University was equally strong. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing and reminiscing about the thrill of riding his motorcycle in his younger days.

John's warmth, sense of humor, and love for his family will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will live on in the stories we share and the lives he touched.

John was the beloved husband of 47 years to Karen L. (nee Krueger) Haussler; Dear son of Marilyn (nee Fisse) Haussler and the late William Haussler; Loving father of Toni Lewis, Monica Haussler, and Peter "PJ" (Becca Evans) Haussler; Cherished grandpa of Derek Lewis, Zoe Lewis, Kaleigh Lewis, and Graicyn Haussler; Dear brother of Mary (Jerry) Greenwood, Cheryl (the late Bill) Yager, Renee (Terry) Arthur, Danny (Kathy) Haussler, Mike (Jodi) Haussler, and Steve (Sarah) Haussler.

Family and friends are invited to join together in honoring John's life. A visitation will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Milford on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service celebrating his life at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a Parkinson's Disease charity of your choice in John's memory, reflecting the generosity and kindness he shared throughout his life.
