Peter “Pete” O. Heath, age 55, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, passed away on March 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Pete passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Millersburg, Ohio on March 28, 1969, Pete was the son of Onley W. Heath and the late M. Elaine (Miller) Heath. Pete was a proud 1987 graduate of Hiland High School. Peter went on to earn a bachelor's degree in communications from The Ohio State University, where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Pete married the love of his life, Megan D. (Kruger) Heath on August 20, 2005. Together, the two spent 19 years of marital bliss and raised 3 wonderful children.
Pete dedicated his career to ensuring excellence in Quality Control for Robin Industries within their healthcare division. Pete was a family man who loved to be involved in his children’s endeavors. He was a constant presence at their various activities over the years, always cheering them on and encouraging them on and encouraging their passions with warmth and enthusiasm. This dedication to family was at the heart of who Pete was.
Pete's free time often consisted of cheering on the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes football teams. He also found enjoyment in golfing on a sunny day. He attended the Northwest Church of Christ in Canton, where he participated in the community of faith that provided him with support and fellowship, especially through his medical hardships.
In addition to his father & wife, Pete is survived by his step-mother, Elsie Heath of Sugarcreek; children, Hallie (Matt) Weed of Bridgeport, Grayson Heath and Emersyn Heath of the residence; granddaughter, Oakleigh Mae Weed; brother, Adam (Michelle) Heath of Dover; step-brother, Steve (Diane) Yoder of Sugarcreek; in-laws, Frank Jr. and Kathy Kruger of Massillon; brother and sister in law, Frank Kruger III of East Canton and Dana (Matt) Snyder of Canton.
