Peter Koss Obituary
Peter George Koss, born October 23, 1964, in Rochester NY passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025 surrounded by his brother, James (Carolyn) Koss, and sisters Ann Bove and Jane Koss. He was predeceased by his loving parents George & Ruth Koss. Peter's greatest joy was spending time with his family especially his nephews Matthew and David, and his niece Jennifer. Peter's many friends will remember him for his kind heart, gentle soul, quick-witted sense of humor and contagious smile. Peter's life was full of accomplishments that included graduating from Holy Childhood School, working for 18 years at Tops, and living independently for over 15 years. He was an enthusiastic member of the Greece's Friends and Fun program, worked with ARC on the self-advocacy movement for the developmentally disabled and was an avid traveler.
Funeral services will be held on July 17, 2025 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Cathedral with a reception to follow in the church hall. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Peter Koss's name to Holy Childhood School (100 Groton Parkway - Rochester, NY 14623), Lifetime Assistance (425 Paul Road Rochester, New York 14624) or The Arc of Monroe (2060 Brighton Henrietta Townline Rd. Rochester, NY 14623).
