Peter Lapp Obituary
Peter was a proud graduate of Webb Institute of Naval Architecture, Class of '77. He worked his entire career in various roles in the marine field, including long time management at Rolls-Royce Naval Marine providing propulsion for industrial and military vessels, and was known as "Pete the Propeller Man". He loved sailing, boating, and spending time at the family house in Saltaire, Fire Island. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family and devoted himself to being a very real and present part of his family's life in every way. He loved being a father and a grandfather. Peter was a strong Christian and follower of Jesus Christ, which governed everything he did and how he lived his life. He served in the Body of Christ wherever he went, setting an example that needed no words.
Besides his loving wife Patty, he leaves his children and their spouses Meghan Lapp, Elizabeth (Lapp) and Joseph Leonard, Peter and Shruthi (Bhandaru) Lapp, James Lapp and Ethan Lapp; and grandchildren Joseph, Thomas and Abigail Leonard. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother Alfred Lapp.
