Obituary of Peter H Ludovicy
PETER H. LUDOVICY ENTERED INTO ETERNAL REST ON THURSDAY JUNE 15, 2023 AT MUSC CHARLESTON,SC IN THE COMPANY OF HIS WIFE OF 44 YEARS MARY LUDOVICY, ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF ST BONAVENTURE PARISH, AND DEACON PAM KOREJWA. Peter was born on October 20, 1955 in Portchester NY, son of the late Alfred and Doris (Young) Ludovicy of Norwalk, Ct. Along with his wife Mary, he's survived by his son Paul, daughter-in -law Lauren Ludovicy, and granddaughter Judee Corvina of Keller TX, Sister Karen Romsky (Peter), their children Peter Jr and Emily of Norwalk, Ct, Sister Wendy Ludovicy of Manchester, NH, and brother Roger (Christine) Ludovicy of Ladson, SC, his 2 beloved Miniature Schnauzers Juliette and Abbagail, his Aunt Joan Young of Arlington VT, and several cousins.
Pete was a US AF veteran and after he served was employed at Wee Burn CC in Darien as a groundskeeper. After that, he worked at Quaker Ridge CC in Scarsdale NY with his dad doing what he loved, working outdoors maintaining the golf course.
Pete then decided it was time to have a purpose and became a letter carrier in Westport at the Saugatuck Station where he made so many friends including 4 legged ones. He will be remembered by his customers for handing out Christmas goodie bags from mailman Pete containing doggie bones!
In 2013, We moved to Ladson, SC as Pete retired but he didn't stop working. He was employed by AVIS/Budget at Charleston International Airport where he was able to meet and help so many people.
He also had a side hustle, (he was featured in the post courier) by our dear friend Jodi Shafto (news reporter) doing lawns!
He was such a loving and kind individual who was loved and will be missed by so many!
A Celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday July 11, 2023
