Peter P. Memon, Jr., age 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on December 28, 2025, in
Old Bridge, New Jersey.
Born on November 27, 1942, in New York, to parents Peter, Sr. and Lucia, Peter was the oldest of four sons. He was raised in Brooklyn and moved to Staten Island in the 70s to raise his own family. His unconditional love and his devotion to creating lasting memories on family trips was a significant part of his life. Peter lived a life defined by generosity, wisdom, humility, and patience. He was a natural mentor. His sense of humor was constant and his sharp wit remained even in his final days.
Peter began his professional journey in corporate America, where he rose to become a Vice President for Burlington Industries. After a successful career, he made a bold and meaningful shift into education, first becoming a math teacher and then serving his community as a school bus driver. He was remembered for his warm smile each day and his commitment to ensuring the safety of the children with the same care and dedication that defined all aspects of his life.
Throughout his years, Peter was known for his selflessness and quiet strength. Those who knew him often spoke of his heart of gold - always putting others before himself through thoughtful gestures and acts of kindness that brought comfort to those around him. To know him was truly to love him.
Peter found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved being near the water - spending time at the beach or strolling along the boardwalk brought him peace and happiness. Walking was one of his favorite pastimes, especially when accompanied by his beloved Yorkie companion, Ty. Their daily walks were treasured moments. Fluent in Italian and his devotion to his Italian heritage, he traveled to Italy to connect with his family abroad sharing laughter, food and stories across multiple generations.
Peter shared the last 20 years of his life with his devoted wife Sharon, whose love and partnership brought him great happiness. He is also lovingly remembered by his daughter Michele and her partner Anthony Camporeale; his son Chris; his stepson Frank Pallotta; his brother John and wife Margaret; and his nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Peter was predeceased by his parents Lucia and Peter Sr., brothers Michael and George, and his beloved wife of 21 years and mother of his children, Rosalie (d. 1987). Following her passing, he fulfilled the roles of both mother and father to his two children.
Peter P. Memon, Jr.'s legacy is one of compassion, generosity, and enduring love. May his memory bring peace to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
