Peter J. Meyer passed away peacefully at age 86 on August 1st, 2025. Survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Judith Meyer; children Sabrina (Eric) Miller, Stephanie (Michael) McCann, Andreas (Caryn) Meyer; grandchildren, Anna Miller, Jocelin and Everett McCann; sister Elfriede (Gerhardt) Herzan of Vienna, Austria, and many dear extended family members and friends, including his Stammtisch and ROMEOs.

Born and raised in Vienna, Austria, Peter immigrated to the United States in 1960, where he met and married the love of his life, Judy, in 1968. The couple made their home in Webster, New York, where they built a joyful life together, raising three children and later welcoming three cherished grandchildren, continuing the legacy of family and love.

Peter retired from Eastman Kodak in 1998 after 33 years of dedicated service. During his career there, he contributed to the development of the camera used in the first moon landing. After retiring, he took a part-time role at Universal Imports, allowing him to stay connected to people.

Peter was a dedicated member of the Rochester Saenger Chor for over 30 years, where he shared his deep love of German music and traditions. He also spent two decades with the Genesee Valley Orchestra and Chorus, lending his voice and passion to both classical and contemporary works, and forging lasting friendships within the musical community.

A loving husband and devoted father and grandfather, Peter—affectionately known as 'Pa,' 'Pappy,' and 'Opa'—will be remembered for his Viennese charm, joyful laugh, warm smile, and playful antics that brought light to every gathering. His kindness, quick wit, and unwavering love for his family left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

A private service will be held for immediate family.
