Peter Michael Morales, age 59 of Caryville, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024. He was born on June 25, 1965 to Peter and Mary Lee Phillips Morales in East Chicago, Indiana. Peter was an artist who could draw, write beautiful poetry, and enjoyed music. He was also a skilled carpenter and handyman. Peter was a kind and loving person who could make anyone laugh and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by father, Peter Morales; grandparents, Alfred and Guadalupe Morales, Dora and Flem Phillips; and brother-in-law, Billy Braswell; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by: mother, Mary Lee Morales; uncle, James Phillips; siblings, George Stooksbury and Margie, Betty "Junie" Braswell, Esther Riggs and husband Todd, and Alice Raulston; children, P. J. Verboon, John Elliott and wife Christen, Kirty Morales, Michael Morales, Travis Morales, Haley Evans and husband Garrett; grandchildren, Gauge Verboon, Lyrick Smith, Marley Elliott, Jaxxton Elliott, and Kai Glover; former wife, Nikki Verboon; fiancé, Dana Ray; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Leach Family Funeral Home and Cremation on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 5-7pm with the funeral service to follow at 7pm. www.leachfamilyfuneralhome.com

Ever since the first time I met Pete, he always made me smile. There was never a time that I really seen him have a bad day. No matter what the situation was, and even if he was having a bad day, you would have never known it. He always made sure that no matter what he helped to brighten somebody else's day. I'm gonna miss him so much.Rest in peace, my friend.
