Peter M. Palermo Jr.

Rochester: Saturday, July 16, 2022 - Surrounded by immediate family, Peter M. Palermo, Jr. entered into eternal rest following a brief but valiant battle with cancer. Pete was born on August 21, 1941, in Rochester, NY and was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Adeline (Bruno) Palermo, his aunt, Laura Bruno, and his brothers Charles Palermo and Richard Palermo, Sr. He leaves behind his loving wife of 59 yrs, Marcia, and his children, Peter (Melissa) Palermo III of Chapin, SC, Lisa Palermo of Santiago, Chile and Michelle (Pablo) Palermo-Biggs of Ft. Mill, SC. He was a loving grandfather to Nicole and Lauren Palermo, Alejandro and Gabriela Loyola-Palermo, and Nathaniel and Matthew Biggs, and godfather to Elizabeth Palermo and Richard Palermo, Jr. His extended family includes sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Pete held several corporate senior executive roles during his 30-year career at Eastman Kodak Company, which included Senior Vice President and global leader of the company's flagship consumer imaging business, the company's first Chief Marketing Officer and international postings in Puerto Rico, The Philippines and Mexico. Following his retirement in 1994, he advised numerous technology companies, and supported several local and national non-profit organizations. A lifelong student of the Classics, Pete received degrees in English and Psychology from Bowling Green State University ('63) and his MBA from University of Rochester ('73). However, his favorite role was that of "Papu", the ever-spoiling grandfather of six.
Friends may call Sunday, July 24 from 2-4PM at Anthony Funeral Chapel, 2305 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, July 25 at 9:30AM at St Louis Church, 64 S Main St, Pittsford, NY 14534. The mass will be live streamed via the St Louis Church Facebook page (www.facebook.com/stlouischurchpittsford). Entombment at White Haven Memorial will be private.
