Victor "Vic" Cypher Jr.

Suddenly, October 25th, 2025 at the age of 64. Predeceased by his father, Victor Cypher, Sr. He is survived by his children, Alexa, Victor V, Luke, and their mother, Nina Cypher; mother, Mabel Cypher; sisters, Julie (Tom ) Bartlett, Jill Cypher; brothers, Paul (Beth) and Craig (Molly) Cypher; beloved nieces and nephews, the Washkevich "Wasko" Family, extended family, and the many connections made through a lifetime of friendship.
Vic's story began in the "East Side" neighborhood of Chicago's South Side, a place that shaped his lifelong loyalty to all things Chicago, especially his beloved Bears and White Sox. His journey took him to Philadelphia to attend Villanova University, sparking a passion for Villanova Basketball. In Philly, he developed dear friendships that carried through his life and spun records as "VJ the DJ". He later built his life in both Chicago and Rochester, NY.
The ultimate "techie" and a true car enthusiast, Vic found great joy in his trips to the Mecum Auctions and the Chicago Auto Show. He was always thrilled by the latest and greatest in audiovisual technology and his well-planned but meandering trips to Costco.
Vic became connected to his community and treasured his time serving on the Board of Pittsford Crew. He loved caring for his dogs, especially the comfort of his time with shared pups Winnie and Wrigley.
He will be forever remembered as someone who loved the energy of gathering with friends, family, and loved ones and brought life to a party. There's an old saying that family is "a little bit of crazy, a little bit of loud, and a whole lot of love". That was our Vic.
Without a doubt, his greatest source of pride was his three children. From his daily "good morning" texts to the way he dove into the passions and adventures of his kids, Vic was a loving and proud Dad.
Services will be held privately for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations will be used for the Cypher children college fund.
