Peter Quartieri Jr., 68, of Bergen, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at his home.
Peter was born on August 17, 1957, in Rochester, to the late Peter Sr. and Marian (Nucci) Quartieri.
He had a voice made for radio - the kind that drew you in and made you want to stay awhile. He loved listening to the radio almost as much as he loved being behind it, especially when he was DJing at Christian skate night, sharing music and joy with everyone in the rink. A devoted sports fan and professional wrestling enthusiast, he rarely missed a game or a big match. He enjoyed taking road trips, chasing new places and simple adventures, and he could always be counted on for a good hand of Euker and a little friendly competition.
But above all his interests and hobbies, his greatest love was his wife. Nothing meant more to him than spending time by her side. Whether at home or on the road, in quiet moments or lively ones, being together was where he was happiest.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rebecca (Almquist) Quartieri; brother, Paul Quartieri; sister, Mary Anne Quartieri; brother in laws, Joel (Tanya Chermak) Almquist, Dr. Robert (Dr. Perry) Almquist, and Eric (Jill) Almquist; nephews, David (Megan), Ryan, Conor, Alex, Will (Garland), and Tyler Almquist; friends, Woody Livingston and Ron Webster.
In death Peter is reunited with his parents, Peter Sr. and Marian Quartieri, and sister in law, Vickie Almquist.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.E Turner & Co. Inc. Funeral Home, 51 S. Lake Avenue, Bergen. There will be calling hours and a funeral service at the convenience of the family. Peter will be laid to rest in Mt. Rest Cemetery, Bergen.
