John C. Quartieri, Sr.
Henrietta: Passed away unexpectedly on November 2, 2023 at age 65. He was predeceased by his parents, Dominic and Joan Quartieri; mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Teresa Gleason; sister-in-law, Nicky Gleason. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gail Quartieri; children, John C. "J.R." (Sarah) Quartieri, Jr., Kristina (Justin) Perry, Liz (Shawn) Green; grandchildren, Michael and Annabel Quartieri, Logan and Rylee Perry; siblings, Debbie (Bill) Halpin, Dominic (Christine) Quartieri, Patricia Quartieri, Sam (Robin) Quartieri, Chris (Amy) Quartieri; Pam Gleason, Paula (David) Billman, Scott Gleason, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
John was involved in the automotive industry in Rochester for many years, working at Dorschel Automotive and Bob Johnson's. John was a beacon of trust for those who needed car service, and always willing to help and create assurance in a space where most people have limited understanding or comfort. He will be remembered as a devoted family man, as a proud husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. John loved spending time with his family and friends traveling, taking cruises, and camping in the summer at Gravel Ponds. His greatest satisfaction was spending quality time with the people he loved, enjoying a glass of wine with some great music, and sharing a good story and some great laughs. He had a tremendous ability to make a positive connection with everyone he met, and was so respected by those who knew him. John also was known for making his meatballs and Sunday Sauce, always incorporating the most special ingredient, love. John will be very missed, but his impact on those that loved him will be everlasting.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 7th from 4-7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road South. John's Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 8th at 10 AM at St. Marianne Cope Parish at Guardian Angels Church, 2061 East Henrietta Road. Interment will be held privately. Following the Funeral Mass, a reception will take place at Elks Lodge #24 at 3525 East Henrietta Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Avenue, Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 in his memory. (Donate Online)
