Peter Martin Robinson, age 85, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.
Peter was the beloved husband of Helen Barrilleaux Robinson, with whom he shared 62 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Tracey Bommer, Kelley Ancona (MJ), Karen Cuevas (Gary), and Jason Robinson, and a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, Christian (Bianca), Matthew (Jarithza), Rachel (Grant), Alexis, Lindsey, Jesse and two great-grandchildren, Adrian and Henry and a third great grandchild on the way .
He is also survived by his sister, Carol Lee Robinson, brothers Chester (Kathy) and Michael Robinson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Martin Robinson and Elizabeth Ochello Robinson, and by his sister, Marlene Orlando. Peter also leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will cherish his memory.
A United States Navy veteran, Peter served his country with honor and pride. He had a lifelong love of the outdoors and found great joy in fishing, deer hunting, and turkey hunting. In his later years, that love evolved into a deep appreciation for the peace and solitude of the woods, where he found quiet reflection and comfort. Known for his quick wit and strong faith, Peter lived his life with humility, humor, and gratitude. Above all else, he deeply loved his wife and family, who were always the center of his world.
Peter will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his faith, his service to his country, and the calm strength he carried throughout his life. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
While there will be no public services, the family will gather privately and is grateful for the love, prayers, and support during this time.
