Peter D. Vitale

Peter D. Vitale, 81, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Peter was the son of Antoinette and Pasquale Vitale. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Domenick and Thomas, whom he now joins in eternal rest.

Peter was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he spent many years working for the New York City Department of Sanitation, from which he later retired.

Above all else, Peter was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Joanna, Dina and her husband Dan, and Peter and his wife Melinda, and by his beloved grandchildren, Marisa, Ava, Lena, Mia, and Derek, who brought him great joy and pride.

Peter enjoyed the simple pleasures of life - hunting and fishing, watching movies, spending time with his grandchildren, and sitting down to a good plate of macaronis. He was a strong and determined man who lived life on his own terms and faced every challenge with grit and resolve.
