Peyling Lin Hsieh died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday September 13, 2025 at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the wife of Willian Ching-Tzong Hsieh who passed September 10, 2014 and is survived by her son Alexander Hsieh, her mother Li-Mei, her sister Peirung, her brother Ziyi, and her nieces Jessica and Sandy. She was and always will be an inspiration to her family, and will be missed dearly.

Peyling was born August 31, 1958 in Tainan, Taiwan to father Dong-Tai Lin and mother Li-Mei Wang Lin. She immigrated to the United States in her early 20s, shortly after graduating from Fu Jen Catholic University. She got her masters degree in computer science from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY and joined IBM shortly after as a programmer. Hey family moved to the Village of Nagog Woods in Acton, MA in the late 90's where she continued at IBM in Waltham, MA and stayed for the rest of her 30-year career. She loved her IBM family.

In her free time, Peyling loved travling and had visited more than 20 countries worldwide in her lifetime. She was also a regular member of local Buddhism and longevity study groups. And she always enjoyed relaxing with some gouda cheese and a glass of malbec.

The family thanks the MGH Cancer Center team and the team at the Naka Infusion Center at Emerson Hospital for taking such great care of Peyling in her final year.

Peyling's final resting place is at the Chuang Yen Monastery in Carmel Hamlet, NY, where she joins her husband William. There will be a monastery-wide ceremony in May 2026.
