Phil Grebner

Phil Grebner, 83, of Peoria, passed away Monday, October 20, 2025 at The Loft of East Peoria.
He was born November 9, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Walter Salzman and Emma (Wiberg) Grebner.
He married Gladys Ritter on the Naval Base in Lemoore, California on December 31, 1964. She preceded him in death on April 1, 2007. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Werry; and his brother, John.
He is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Jeff) Luttrell, Barbara (Michael) Ginsberg; nine grandchildren, Emma (Josh) Leeper, Mary Luttrell, Jacob, Daniel and Hannah Ginsberg, Megan Grebner, Marcus, Aidan, and Sarah Werry; and one sister, Medrith (Keith) Nuttle.
Phil was a United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired after 23 years of service. After his military career he worked as a systems analyst at Bradley University for 23 years before retiring.
He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Per his wishes, cremation has been accorded. There will be no services. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
