Philip Brooke Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 23, 2024.
Philip G. Brooke, 61, of Front Royal, VA, departed his earthly life on August 7th, 2024, at Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester, VA, following a brief illness.
He was born January 5th, 1963, in Washington, DC; he was the son of the late Robert N. Brooke and Sandra J. Roby Brooke.
He is survived by one daughter, Amber Burns Perry and husband, Cameron, of Wheeling, WV and one granddaughter, Riley Perry, of Wheeling, WV. Two brothers, Frank (Bob) Brooke of Davis, WV and William Russell Brooke and wife Toni, of Summersville, WV; one sister, Cheryl Brooke Hopson, of Shepherdstown, WV; and three nieces; Faith, Julia, and Amy as well as four nephews; Aubrey, Troy, Andrew and Joseph; along with a host of cousins, friends, and family, who will miss him dearly.
Phil made a career as a CAD Operator with Astron Wireless Technologies, of which he retired to enjoy his many passions. He was an avid hunter, and he could barely wait for hunting season to sit patiently in his deer blind for that perfect shot. He also enjoyed his time on the river fishing with his buddies to snag the big one as well as running the table at his favorite billiard spot. Phil also took great pleasure in watching NASCAR on television with his beloved dog Yeti, but preferred to feel the wind on his face as the cars zoomed passed him at the Richmond Raceway in Virginia, where he held season tickets.
As per his request, Phil was cremated and returned to his loving family. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
