Philip Wayne Christian

Philip Wayne Christian was born on May 14, 1960, and went home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2025, at the age of 64. Phil was born in Cheverly, Maryland and moved to Florida in 1962. He graduated from Osceola High School in 1978 and from the University of Central Florida with a degree in psychology in 1995.
Phil is survived by his wife, Tammy Newkirk, son, Bronson Christian, stepdaughters Brittney Horn and Brooke Horn (John) Duke, grandchildren Brynley, Carson and Rhett, his sister, Cathy C. (Rusty) Thacker, and his sister, Karen C. (Bob) Gray.
Phil loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved the Florida Gators and sports. He played football in high school and was M.V.P. his Senior Year. He could often be found playing basketball on the Oak Street courts. He was a fabricator and welder for Florida Custom Fabricators and Accurate Metal Fabricators in Kissimmee. He later worked for OReillys Auto Parts. He also baked delicious cheesecakes for holidays and special occasions. Phil and his family loved dachshunds and at one time had five of them: one for each member of the family. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of St. Cloud and went on a mission trip to Fairhope, Alabama in 2021 for Hurricane Sally Disaster Relief.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Christian and Virginia Merideth, stepfather Julian Merideth, and brother Mike Christian.
The family of Phillip Wayne Christian will receive friends on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Conrad and Thompson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Reverend Cathy C. Thacker of the First United Methodist Church of Saint Cloud Officiating.
