Philip Patrick Courter, age 50, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away at 3:25 pm on Friday February 13, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born on February 6, 1976, in Warsaw, he was the son of Matthew and Sandra (Brower) Courter.

Philip attended Whitko High School and graduated with the Class of 1993. He then attended Taylor University. Philip worked as a Backend Developer for over 25 years. He married Jessica Cook at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple, Chicago.

Philip was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and also served as church clerk. He enjoyed watching old movies, reading, studying history, and playing video games.

Survivors include his wife Jessica Courter of Fort Wayne; children Xarai Courter and Zeran (Heaven) Courter, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren Elysian and Hayas Courter; parents Matthew and Sandra Courter of Pierceton; siblings Aaron (Lindsay Millikan) Courter of Fort Wayne and Jacob (Jennifer) Courter of North Manchester.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Harold and Grace Brower and Max and Dorothy Courter.

A private celebration of life for Philip will be held.

Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Larwill.

Memorial contributions in memory of Philip may be made to DeMoney Grimes towards final expenses.
