Philip Anthony Crappel entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the age of 70. Beloved fiancé of Marcia Guidry for 24 years. He was a father figure to Marcia’s children, Priscilla Guidry Galliano and Rachel Guidry Hicks. Son of the late Felecian Joseph Crappel and Myrtle Eva Billiot Richards. Brother of Richard Joseph Crappel (Gloria Adams Crappel), Beverly Ann Faye Crappel and Deborah Ann Crappel Harrell (Thomas R. Harrell, Jr.). Uncle of Hollie Sue Crappel, Haven Rene Crappel Schultz, Chase Joseph Crappel, Robert LaFrance, Joseph LaFrance, Nicholas Anderson, Christine Anderson Wright, George Anderson, Randall J. Pumilia, Jr., Susan E. Gallegos and Daniel F. Gallegos. Philip is also survived by numerous cousins. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a resident of Metairie, Louisiana. He was employed at McDonalds in Gretna, Louisiana, Todd Shipyard in Algiers, Louisiana, Jefferson Parish Water Department in Marrero, Louisiana, Domino’s Pizza in Metairie, Louisiana and Jimmy John’s in Harahan, Louisiana. Philip loved gatherings with family and friends. He was into politics and was an avid conservationist, talk show caller and host with Ringside Politics alongside Host Jeff Crovere on WGSO 990AM Radio, New Orleans, Louisiana and Current Word Sonshine alongside Host Bob Carvajal WSHO 800AM Radio, New Orleans, Louisiana. Philip had many titles, which he was known by many as “Phil the Patriot”, “Phil the Whistle Blower”, and “Cajun Buccaneer”. Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Services at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Feriday, November 22, 2024 from 9AM until 12 PM. Memorial Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 12 PM. A Memorial Interment will take place in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, Louisiana.
