Jammie Barton Dempster, age 55 years, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
A lifelong resident of Marrero, Jammie was the widow of Wade A. Dempster; the proud mother to Keith Luther and Jeremy Luther; Grandma to Kylee Luther; younger sister to Velma (John) DiSalvo and older sister to James (Ashley) Barton; the dear aunt to many nieces and nephews; and adored by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. She was preceded in death by parents Lorraine and James Barton.
Jammie spent many wonderful years working for Capitol Jewelers, Winn-Dixie, Toys R Us, and Wal-Mart. Jammie enjoyed spending time with her family and dogs, Bella and Zoey. Jammie enjoyed line dancing with the Line Dancing Crew.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Church in Marrero, Louisiana from 9AM to 11AM, at which time Mass will begin. Interment will follow thereafter at Westlawn Memorial Park.
