Jeannette Campeau Romano was born on August 11, 1934, and entered into eternal rest on November 8, 2025. Jeanette was a lifelong resident of Gretna, LA.
Jeannette was the daughter of the late Nolan Campeau and the late Clemence Adams Campeau. The loving mother of Raymond Romano Jr., Richard "Ricky" Romano (Deanna), Anne Romano (the late Alex), Robert "Robby" Romano, and the late Rodney Romano. Loving grandmother to Jordan Romano (Ashley), Oliva Romano (EJ Alejandro), Victoria Romano Bourg (Chad), Aaron Romano, Richard Romano Jr., Lacie Romano, and the late Jeremiah Romano and the loving great-grandmother to many great- and great-great-grandchildren. She was the loving sister of Christopher Nolan Campeau Sr. and Donald Campeau. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Jeannette worked as a seamstress and lovingly made clothing for her family. She was a very artistic person and very talented in many areas, from cabinetmaking to crocheting. As a master crocheter, she copied her family's patterns in the blankets she created. In her spare time, she loved being outside and gardening. Whether it was vegetables or flowers, she enjoyed growing things in her yard. But what she loved most of all was being with her family.
The family will hold a private service in memory of Jeannette.
