Philip Cuddy, a proud and lifelong Bostonian, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, in Boston, MA, at the age of 54. Born on December 12, 1970, in Winchester, MA, Philip was a man of great vitality and spirit, whose presence was as robust and heartwarming as his beloved Boston accent.
Philip was the cherished son of the late Philip Cuddy, and he carried his father's name with a sense of honor and dignity throughout his life. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Fatima Y. Vega Luna Cuddy, and a loving father to Christopher Foley and his late son Ryan Cuddy. His step-children, Gladys Orellana Cuddy and Andrea Orellana Cuddy, will remember him as a steadfast and caring presence in their lives.
Philip's love for his family was matched only by his passion for Boston sports. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the Patriots and the Red Sox, celebrating their victories with the same fervor with which he embraced life. His voice, often heard cheering from the stands or from his living room, was a testament to his unwavering team spirit.
A man of many interests, Philip also had a penchant for the simpler pleasures in life. He loved to indulge in a variety of ice cream flavors, a treat that brought a smile to his face and joy to those around him. His commitment to fitness was evident in his disciplined workout regimen, which kept him looking remarkably young and fit. Philip's love for animals was pure and heartfelt, and he was often seen wearing his signature v-neck t-shirts, a style he wore with casual confidence.
Philip's character was defined by his thoughtfulness, friendliness, and courage. He was a fair and just man, whose actions spoke volumes about his integrity and his deep concern for others. His ability to listen and offer wise counsel made him a treasured friend to many, and his courageous spirit inspired those who knew him. He will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Family and friends will honor Philip's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, on Friday, April 25th, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon. Services will conclude with Philip being laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. May he rest in peace
